How can coaching help me quit drinking?
A life coach can support you in quitting drinking by providing guidance, accountability, and tools to help you create lasting change. A life coach won’t replace therapy or medical support for addiction, but they can be a powerful ally in helping you stay motivated, accountable, and aligned with your vision of a sober life.
What is the typical duration of a coaching engagement?
Typically, clients engage with my coaching over a period of 3-6 months in whatever cadence makes sense for you. This gives me the opportunity to get to you and your your needs over time so that you can meet your milestones and have the most impactful transformation.
What is the difference between Coaching, Therapy and Consulting?
Coaching focuses on growth and goal-setting, helping clients shift perspectives and create change.
Therapy is healing-focused, addressing past trauma and mental health concerns. Coaches do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions and are NOT qualified to do so.
Consulting provides expert advice and solutions for specific problems.
Will our session be private?
Yes. Although coaching is unregulated in Oregon, I was trained and follow the ethical standards set by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), which includes strict confidentiality guidelines. Your sessions will remain private, creating a safe and secure space for open and honest conversations.
Why isn't there a set price? How much should I pay?
I am able to choose not to engage in extractive capitalism, so I offer a sliding scale. This ensures that coaching remains accessible while honoring the value of my work. Those who can pay more help support those with less financial privilege.
How does Coaching work, are you going to tell me what to do?
Life coaching is a partnership in self-discovery, helping you uncover the core drivers of your behavior. Through this process, you can shift perspectives, challenge limiting beliefs, and make meaningful adjustments that align with your higher purpose.
